Hello All,

My name is Ed andI live in Southern California, Lancaster in the high desert. I'm looking forward to learning Orbiter. I'm manly interested in the Apollo program.

Thanks,

Ed

:welcome: and have fun wit Orbiter! Make sure to check out the amazing AMSO and Project Apollo Add-ons!

:welcome: to Orbiter-Forum! :hello:

If you're just new to Orbiter, I'd recommend starting with the Delta Glider, much as you may wish to dive straight into Apollo add-ons right away, the DG was really designed for newbies and the tutorials here will also help you understand how to get airborne and eventually spaceborne.

Depending on your preference, the two main (and as far as I know only) Apollo addons presently available are AMSO, which is a complete, simplified, graphically beautiful Apollo simulator which will allow you to simulate most Apollo missions with relative ease once you know the basics, and is much fun. Then there is NASSP, which is not finished, but version 7 is in beta. They are working towards getting the Apollo 7 mission working, and theirs is a slightly less pretty, realistic-to-the-switch, fully simulated vAGC and capsule panel, checklist-following behemoth of a simulation which gives you a real sense of pride when you can fly it.

Both can be found with the search engine, but learn to walk before you run, and again, :welcome:!
