To all my fellow Canadian Orbitauts....Happy Canada Day. 144 years ago today the provinces of Canada was split into the provinces of Ontario and Quebec and then united in Confederation with the provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to form the beginnings of the nation of Canada.

That would be something... ;)

Of course, that would make you head of state of the US and head of government under the head of state of Canada: the British Queen (or King, sooner or later...)

Is there anything barring running for the presidency if one is already elected abroad to some legislative position?

Anyway, you probably should buy one of the many houses that stradle the border... Your living room is in the US and the kitchen in Canada... That makes enforcing meat and milk products regulations kinda tough, specially if you want to munch while watching TV after going up to the fridge ;P
