Greetings, space travelers!

After many years away, I am dusting off my Orbiter epaulettes...

Wow, so many developments since I last played Orbiter - D3D9, an open source repository, and so much more. Amazing.

I am starting clean slate on a new Windows computer:
  • Downloaded Orbiter2016 and unpacked the .zip
  • Downloaded directx_Jun2010_redist.exe from Microsoft, ran the setup exe
  • Downloaded D3D9ClientR4.26-Orbiter2016.zip, unpacked unto Orbiter2016, replacing files if needed
  • Ran Orbiter_ng.exe and enabled D3D9 module

Everything looks great, just one weird thing - self-shadows and ground-shadows work great on the vehicles, EXCEPT for ground-shadow on my focus vehicle!

Anybody experienced this before?

PS: I know about the Hi-Res textures, I just want to fix this shadow issue first before upgrading.

THX!
Wow, this is amazing. Landing light, cockpit instrument and flood lighting...
So grown up from the 2006 version I grew up with in high school.

(You'll be even more impressed if you try this year's Orbiter build on GitHub, although that is still in development)
