Grand Theft Auto 4

GTA4 and finals. The best combination since beer and brats.

Alright... It seems we won't be having a PC version :@.
I can't believe it, but Rockstar really said it. No current plans for a PC version, since they had so much to work with the consoles.
This is a first in the world of gaming. How can they do this to the PC fans? It's un :censored: believable.

Well, PCs are for Orbiter...

PC games have been dying a slow death for years, anyway. I'm not really surprised, I notice the PC game section of software stores just gets smaller and smaller. It's a console world again.

I may have to get a console for this game, if it's as good as it looks like it might be. GTA: Vice City was the best game I'd played in a long time, just really fun and cool. The whole city and gangster lifestyle experience really pulls you in. I never played San Andreas, but I don't think my computer could handle it anyway, and I was more interested in the retro-80's Miami Vice theme.

Vice City was the best GTA of the line. The story just transports really well to the player. San Andreas failed in that department.
I just started playing VC again. If you really want to get in the mood, watch Cocain Cowboys first!

...
:orly:
Yeah, except for the plethora of online games (MMORPGs), Unreal Tournament, Battlefield, Starcraft II, and SP0RE pc gaming is basically dead. [/Sarcasm]

I'm most excited about SPORE.

I don't think Rockstar did it first.

I think it may have been one of the Ghost Recon versions, or, Rainbow Six.

Yes, but killing the PC version of the phenomenon known as GTA 4 is a nasty move. Oh well...I guess Playstation's sales will double...

I'm really tight on cash right now so I didn't think I was going to be able to get GTAIV anytime soon. However, I just got a call from best buy and seems a rewards certificate got lost in the mail a few months ago and is about to expire in a few days... which is just the excuse I needed to spend a few more dollars. I don't need food this week, do I? The first time I rented GTAIII I stayed up all night and went without food... It was about 4am before I realized that my poor dog had gone without food as well. I honestly wish this game sucked because it has a nasty tendency to devour lives.

It's a crime (or it should be).

Are you sure they won't release a PC version after everybody has bought their PS3? Maybe it's just a sales trick...

About 1 year after ps3 release it will proboly be on pc

I agree that sooner or later, they will release to PC. It's inevitable, but the wait may be quite a while. If nothing else, I expect that one day it'll be released on all platforms including PC as part of a "greatest hits" pack along with whatever spinoffs they release after IV, perhaps with a few new missions/features thrown in to entice repeat sales from die-hard fans.

I've heard it's "far and beyond the best in the GTA series" and the multiplayer is the icing on top. In fact, someone on youtube said that it makes you wonder why multiplayer never made it into GTA before, because it fit so perfectly. Apparently you get the whole city just like single player and you and X number of other people (6 IIRC) get to just bum around town doing whatever you want (except missions).

I'm pretty sure that the PC version of GTA:SA has multiplayer. I've never tried it though, since I never even knew about a PC version for the longest time and only have the game on PS2. I really want GTA IV but certainly can't afford a PS3 and this... not to mention the other games I'd have to buy to make a PS3 useful. Luckily my friend has a PS3(with internet) and I would be very confused if he of all people didn't get this game. :)
