• It is summer, bring soap
• There are big thunderstorms, bring a raincoat
• There are very muddy creeks, bring lots of socks
• There are mosquitoes, bring insect repellent
• There are dingos, bring a gun
• There are farmers with guns, bring ammo
• There is livestock, the dogs will bite
• It is about 2000km between large cities, bring transport
• There is about 100km between fuel stops and up to 500km, bring a jerry can
• It is drought in most of the country, bring LOTS of water
