Giotto for Orbiter2016
giotto_tn.jpg

An updated version of the old Orbiter2010-P1 add-on can be downloaded from my GoogleDrive here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=18ThN7zDeO51mMilz6Z-uUMFVFrb5y2I6

Includes launch and post-launch scenarios.
Launch scenario requires:

KOUROU CSG Space Center v4.0
[ame="https://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=7190"]Just a moment...[/ame]

KOUROU CSG Space Center v5.0 (Update)
http://francophone.dansteph.com/?page=addon&id=252

Multistage2015 - for Orbiter 2016
[ame="https://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=7010"]Just a moment...[/ame]

Now includes optional D3D9 Graphics Client compatible meshes for comet nuclei (see installation notes).
Ariane 1 launcher now completely Multistage2015 based.
HMC image acquisition code modified (can be a little buggy sometimes).

Cheers,
Brian

I think it is the first add-on for Kourou since the version5... :) :hail::banana::bananadance::hotcool:

Thank you ! (Giotto works fine !)

we still can not upload an addon on OrbitHangar ?

:cheers::tiphat:

Norton flagged your giotto.dll as a threat. already sent a false positive report to them.

I have a problem with the launch scenario: the 1st stage engine and tanks aren't created (tank is 0, no response to thrust commands, burn time is 0, etc.). The mesh and texture are visible without problems.

I looked into the scenario and Multistage2015 configuration file, but couldn't find anything unusual. The other stages work correctly. Other CSG rockets work correctly.

Hi,
if you can start the launch scenario, exit and post your (current state).scn here, also your orbiter.log, I can take a look. I'm pretty sure I checked this before uploading, but I'm not set up to re-check it right now.
Cheers,
Brian

There you go. I included the current state, the original scenario, the Orbiter log, and the Multistage2015 configuration file.

Got it, thanks.
Yep. My mistake. Didn't check the final version before uploading. Tsk!
The Ariane1 needs another propellant entry in the launch scenario.
Code:
Ariane1:Vessels\Giotto\ariane1_v14
  STATUS Landed Earth
  BASE Kourou:3
  HEADING 90
  PRPLEVEL 0:1.000 1:1.000 2:1.000
  NAVFREQ 0 0
  CONFIG_FILE Config\Vessels\Giotto\ariane1_v14.ini
  GUIDANCE_FILE Config\Vessels\Giotto\ariane1_v14_guidance.txt
  CONFIGURATION 0
  STAGE_STATE 2
  STAGE_IGNITION_TIME 0.000
  CURRENT_BOOSTER 1
  CURRENT_STAGE 1
  CURRENT_INTERSTAGE 1
  CURRENT_PAYLOAD 1
  FAIRING 1
END
I'll update on OH, or you can just copy/paste this into your launch scenario:
Code:
PRPLEVEL 0:1.000 1:1.000 2:1.000
Thanks for the report.
Cheers,
Brian

Now updated with corrected scenario on OH, version 200323.
(I know, the version no. is missing a 2, but never mind ;-)

It would be great to write a note to disable image capturing programs (e.g. ShareX) when using the camera, as I had a hard time figuring this out the hard way!

Thanks for the heads up. What are the symptoms of the issue?

The screenshot triggers the program, and if you cancel the operation, the camera will malfunction (it can't be turned off, won't transmit images to Earth, etc.).

Hey brianj just looked at your LOR in 2016 D3D9 and the addon works but there is a black hole where the Moon is suppose to be.

Thanks, I think a warning in the documentation is the best I can do.

Hi Barry, I'm not very surprised, I never updated it for Orbiter2016 or D3D9. It's on the list - if I live long enough to get that far!! ;-D

Cheers,
Brian

Just tried it out to see if it would work. I needed the LRO's polar orbit to use for a new Lander being worked on for the Artemis Project. The Moon shows up as a grey ball with out detail in the normal orbiter mode.

I think with the up coming launch of the next Mars rover the MRO addon with be needed first.
Stay safe My friend
