What about an MFD that you can input the longitude of the final position into, and it will automatically calculate the eject and circularization burns for you. It will also have to calculate the needed amount of Dv to change planes to 0 equatorial. (The aligning is usually integrated with the circularization)

The user would have to turn prograde for the eject burn, and point at a custom direction for the circularization burn, like TransX.

How doable is this?

I like this idea. Just something simple to show burns.

How about using scenario editor to temporarily place a target ship in orbit at the desired location, then use TransX target that ship to set up the burn, and either remove the temporary ship right away or leave it there to continue to be a target to aim for until in geostationary position.

That won't do wonders for immersion. There is also the trouble of placing the target ship. The idea behing Geostationary MFD is that it requires very little human intervention. Not discrediting TransX for wonderful tool that it is, though.

I always do it that way:

1. Launch into Orbit
2. wait for crossing of the Equator
3. shortly before crossing of the Equator burn until apogee is a few hundred kilometers under the GSO altitude.
4. making the plane change at apogee with the help of Align Planes MFD or IMFD.
5. circularize the Orbit
6. wait until the desired position is reached
7. bring the spacecraft into it's final orbit with, making little corrections if required to reach the exact Longitude and Inclination.

The Autopilot MFD (available at Orbit Hangar Mods:[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=1468"]Autopilot 1.72 with AIRAC and worldwide Airports[/ame]) could be used, just a little config file must be written for this.

I've made an invisible dummy target that's perfect for jobs like that. You can grab a copy here.

Placing it in the correct orbit is a breeze with the Scenario Editor. Just look for 'dummy' when you create the target. It has an XPDR to help with rendezvous. If you use [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2617"]Scenario Editor TLE[/ame] you can even use real TLE's to be spot on.

PS: I can recommend Dansteph's MKTS-SAT for missions like this. You have to EVA to activate it. Very cool actually. There's a DGIV scenario that tells you how to use it.
