Project Gemini Paraglider

Okay, that's not a problem. I completely understand. I will be sad to see you go, though :(. Mr. Donamy, do you think you could build the meshes and animations in the config? I could test it for you and build the scenarios for it. I could also take a crack at modifying the Titan 23G multistage.
 
I got to fix the gantry on the LC14 for the hundredth time and then a week of no developing. I would rather finish the Atlas's before anything.

Cool to see the Gemini paraglider.
I'll look into texturing it in the future, but as mentioned I have other ongoing projects that I'd like finish first. This is a hobby, not a full time job, so no set release dates or any kinds of commitment ;). Of course, I'm working on the Gemini capsule texture, so those would also fit the paraglider. For the boilerplate capsule, the mesh would have to be changed.
 
Thanks to Donamy he just lended me a great parachute mesh. One question though. For deployment I want it to scale out. How do I do this without losing the textures when I load it up to edit it?

I just updated it extensively. If you could be so kindly Donamy, would you take a look at it and tell me minor mishaps and such? I really want this one to be good. Anyway, the chute is deployed by pressing Lshift+4.

You have the wrong groups scaling. You have the door windows as part of the paraglider.
 
I'll take a look at that. Also, how do I make it to where the two booster stay on the capsule and not jettison before the stages? I could never do that. I have also wondered.

Problem fixed for the parachute.
 
You're going to have to look at a few more examples, and figure out how to do it yourself, by trial and error. It will do you no good, for me to do it for you (nor do I want to). Welcome to the world of Orbiter addons. :)
 
I didn't intend for you to actually do it I was just wondering if you knew or knew any ships like that that I can look at.
 
Do a search on Orbithangar for multistage addons.
 
Workaround: Make the "real" booster an invisible and small mesh. Than add a payload (or another stage - depending on the configuration) that has your booster mesh. It is up to you then, when to jettison the booster mesh.

That's a good workaround for mulstistage.dll addon IMHO.
 
Oh, I'll just set them as stage 4 and 5. I feel dumb.

BTW, the doors are not animated now but I will make that change sometime today and tommorrow.

Try it now. Also, I finished the LC14 last night. I was determined, so now I got it off my shoulders.
 
Very nice! I can't wait to see it! Would you like me to make a bug list of the paraglider, or do you want to hear that later?

Alright, here it is:

1) Titan 23 translating during launch
2) No lift capability when paraglider deploys
3) Gemini nose doesn't jetttison
4) No drogue
5) RCS useless during entry interface
6) Gemini doesn't seem to fit on Titan 23

Please don't think I'm trying to be mean. I know how much you've been developing.
 
I fixed 1 and 5. Number 2 I will think about it. 3 is easy. 4 is also fixable. 6 is easy too. I hope I can finish this tonight.
