Wow 2003... That isn't making me feeling younger...

When I was your age, it took a lot of noise to connect to the internet. And we used to have these things called Telnet and Turbogopher . . .

And you guys, what were you doing in 2003 ? I lived 4 months in Sherbrooke,Canada between August and December, visited Boston and New York 1 week before Chritmas. That was the craziest part of my life, just entering the US From Montreal and then try to reach the big cities of the East coast : Boston and of course New York. Got under the line of sight a Custom Offiser 92F because I crossed the wrong lane. Cool. Then they bring me in a room, and made me one of those multi-answer tests. Like "Have you been a Nazi during WWII / Have you commited war crimes ? If yes which ones ? / Have you commited crimes against humanity. "Ehh no no no no no no !!" Then NYC is really a wonder on itself. All the movies I saw didn't prepared me to that. I really hope I'll get one day enough money to live there a month or so to have a more in-depht experience.

I have to improve my sailing skills and get a sailboat able to cross the North Atlantic. :hmm: If there were enough orbinaut-sailors that would be fun to make a crew of them, with posts distributed from a spacecraft logic.

- Skipper = Command pilot / Leadership and ability to keep the group morale high, with sense of diplomacy but also autority when an imminent threat must be avoided. Aslo elements of psychology, being able to speak privately to a crewmember that feels bad and solve the problem with him.
- Helmsman = Pilot and Docking Specialist. Technicall skills concerning the diesel engine.
- N°1 & N°2 (crewmen that deploy the sails, furl them, repair small stuff here and there, and have to walk a lot on an often slippery deck) = EVA specialists... ..
- The navigator : Able to use GPS, charts, GSM phone, Radio, but also the stars if the electrical systems fail, so "Flight Engineer"... Can trace and the safest route for the ships from analysis of the various meterology reports.
- One of the crew members should have basic medical skills (a doctor would be perfect of course, but a paramedic would be great too).
- If carrying a dignhy, it of course becomes a planetary lander. A LM pilot would be specialized on the outboard engine maintenance and operation. The specialist would watch the funds and try to find the best landing area.

:hmm:
