Finally got around to using IMFD :)

Well yeah, the slingshot and map programs are different now-thats the main reason I still use IMFD 5.3.

+Astro, keep trying, it is very annoying trying stuff like that for the first time but eventually you manage it.

I had a little bit of time yesterday, and I read the fast steps to object intercept, but I never made it to the moon. It didn't work :beathead:. I guess I'm going to have to take much more time on this one!

Setting up a lunar transfer is done quite differently then an interplanetary transfer. There is a section in the full manual on this.

That method is very good. But not my method.

Mine either, I use Delta-V and Map for the TLI and MCC's because I can be more efficient. That allows me to consider the base alignment right from the start and minimize plane changes on approach.

I wished I knew how to use IMFD. I did some time ago, I went through all of David's IMFD videos and did a few missions but then I did not use it again for awhile and now can't remember how to use it.

I think I will stick with Transx, I can use it pretty well and there are still a few things I could do better. When I have some more time I will go through the IMFD videos again.

But really with those MFD's you can quickly forget how to use them especially if you did not really drill in any training with them.
