31/05 UPDATE
module and scenario file's miss fix

Sorry!
I forgot "readme"file. Update Version include "Readme ".txt in doc folder

ex-Pegasus Class Spaceship
UC-GUNDAMworld-based

This Ship is  Very High-spec Spacecraft
You shouid need "Spacecraft3.dll"

This model looks very good! :)

I'd like to suggest using an emissive value for the material the windows use, so that they stand out in the dark.

Pretty interesting, some things though disturb me:

It has a pretty high drag factor, limiting the speed a lot. About half the value would still be huge and permit roughly to exceed the speed of sound at 10 km at full thrust, not 17 km.

The camera position would be better, if it would sit at the bridge and you could see the large spacecraft.

The hover engines are equally powerful as the main engines, but only the main engines are visible. Does not feel right.

Also the ground scenario is without landing gear (after loading the scenario).

What did not disturb me: Really nice model, has a distinct look, the texturing works and is not that big for the detail, it is a well optimized mesh for me. It flies pretty for its huge size, I might have expected it to be a tiny bit more agile, but then, it isn't flying like a carrying yak cow.

On a small note: Better leave the spacecraft3.dll out of your release and tell people to install this add-on first. saves a few KB in the ZIP and you don't overwrite an eventual bug fix of spacecraft3.dll with your add-ons version.

Most of the Forum Orbiter Italia add-ons seem to include multistage2 and spacecraft3 in the package as well.

And Vinka hasn't updated them in several years.

I know. But only because many people follow a really bad practice, this does not make things better.

That Vinka has not done updates is no argument. WHEN updates happen, and it must not be by Vinka, all such add-ons will be really annoying. Check that nothing is overwritten... or be selective.

Imagine Orbiter2013 making spacecraft3.dll incompatible and somebody writing a simple DLL that works in 2013, is named spacecraft3.dll as well, accepts the whole ini files like Vinkas did. you are happy that many old add-ons work again, and when you install such badly distributed add-ons, all is back to normal and you need to reinstall the new spacecraft3.dll again.

But that is another topic.

I'd like to add there are a few anomalies in the mesh, around the centre catapult. At the fore end, there is a hole in the mesh ringing the entrance, and halfway through the tunnel there's a face visible blocking it from the front, but not behind.

Comment Thanks!!
In Update version Some error (scenario, Include"spacecraft3")are fix. I missed that not including "spacecraft3.dll" when file testing.....(sign)and leg-extend is forgot.....

Pegasus-class's low attitude flight look slowly in movie(albion), High-drag is simulate this point. however too high really.

Hover-engine simulate Minovsky-craft-engine. maybe it is too highspec......

about Hover-engine's no effect, honestlly I waver in thispoint.
so....also I think No effect is strange, but In Gundam-Movie(Whitebase 0083's Albion UNICORN's Ra Cailum) They can flying with no-effect.thus also this-ships Hover effect is nothing.

flight-profile,Window's deteal and mesh's error will fix next UPdate.

I have no idea about it, the last time I saw anything like that was a few years ago. What about making the main engines stronger? This would then explain why you have exhaust for them and not for the hovers.

Well, the Pegasus-class is a MS carrier. During atmospheric operations it's not meant to zoom around like an oversized fighter. It mostly hovers on its Minovsky craft system while moving around. The only time it needs serious flying regimes is when returning to orbit. It does have a Mach 12 limit in atmospheric flight, but that should be in the high strata. In the lower atmosphere it would be ripped apart.

The hover engines are equally powerful as the main engines, but only the main engines are visible. Does not feel right.

Probably it's because the Pegasus doesn't have hover engines that powerful, relying on the MCS to help in lifting off and remaining airborne. It's basically a massive "particle cushion" that pushes the ground away so that you don't need massive hover thrusters to launch. However the only way to mimic the MCS is to have hovers that have enough power to keep it floating.

Still, judging the shape, it should not fly like a barn. Half the drag factor would already make a lot of difference in term of speed limits (I could test it today, but I would say Mach 12 should be impossible below 60 km altitude)

Ah, that makes more sense, thank you. No problem with a DLL, maybe I'll give it a spin.

That's because this is the first Japanese developer on Orbiter-Forum. (but he had been developing already)

Actually, he is not the first. But the first for a long time.
