Well,looks like a lot of ESC was still lost in translation for Ferrel, since he committed some errors no European would ever do about something as serious as the ESC.

Its surprising its coming from a US source, as I assume the ESC has little or no impact there.

Wonder if it will spark a national interest in a State Song Contest. Does the US have state rivalries, not counting sports of course?

I am sure they have, since they also have prejudices about different states. But I doubt it can compete with the European "Lets wage war by peaceful means" attitude.

No, I suppose a few thousand years of international warfare does affect the songwriters.

Never sure about the Ferrel chap, sometimes he is a bit over the top. Did like him in Zoolander though, if he was in it.

Ok, after watching some of the songs on Youtube, I must say, I'd have voted for "Husavik" this year.... damn, such a great ESC song, that never was.
