European Football Championships.

Damn. Sometimes you lose, sometimes the others win. A pretty bad game of the German team, which was not really concentrated on the game. And still a pretty lucky victory of Spain, it could have gone the other way...if... well, with many ifs. What would have happened if Spain did not have superior number so often because of German injuries. Like the referee being less biased, the headbutt of the spanish player should have earned him red. And more important: Germany not playing towards the missing 12th player all the time when starting an attack...

As a neutral, I think the result went the right way - from what I saw of the match. I missed a bit of it cos I was catching up on Doctor Who. But I saw most of the second half, and Spain appeared to be the better team.

But then I don't really watch much football anyway. I'm more of a rugby man. So I could have read it wrong!

Absolutely the right result, well done Spain.

That was a totally one-sided final, and the best team in the championship deservedly won the trophy.

Pretty game of Spain and deserved victory.

I couldn't care less who won, but it's nice that life in switzerland will go back to normal now... IF Uefa will pull out its troops and revert power to the official gouvernement as promised. I'm still sceptical if it will hapen...

People who don't like football annoy me ;)
As do spain, I think they're a bunch of whinging divers: But they managed to stay on their feet long enough to win a game yesterday so congratulations to them. Only one of them I like is Iker, but the Spanish fans are a good bunch.

What I'm saying in an incredibly stupid way is that Spain deserved to win yesterday, although I'm not happy that they did.

Interesting. People who don't like rugby union annoy me... ;)

What's that? :P
Seriously, what's that? I've never got the difference between Union and, erm, the other one. Which is the one that England beat Australia at?

None of them at the moment, I don't think!

England are pretty close to the bottom of their game at the moment in union - I don't follow league much, but I do know that Australia prefer league to union, and they're pretty good at it, and after a few years of troubles, they're getting better at union again.

Unless you're talking about the Rugby World Cup, in which England beat Australia to win, but that was back in 2003 when England were at the top of their game. Although, to be fair to 'em (and I really don't like doing that... ;) ), even as poor as they are at the moment, they did still get to the RWC final last year...
