in real life I wouldn't be able to predict where your arm (yes yours. mine is tender) would fracture if i twist it, pull it or bend it... or crush it... I could tell you it will be around the elbow area... tho.

That is a religious statement out of deep superstition. Do you know why atmospheric science is easier than geology?

Most of the climate takes part in the lowest ten kilometer and the atmosphere is mostly transparent for sensors.

Earthquakes are caused in 30-50 km depth, inside deep rock, which is not at all transparent for sensors - even seismographs are not able to find all fault lines, or even tell something about the pressures there.

The atmosphere is one of the most complex systems humans try to understand and to predict its behaviour. Such predictions are almost as reliable as earthqauke predictions. Fact. If you know more than others do, and if have anything else or news to deliver, you are free to do so...
