Expansion pack for the "Delta II Missions Vol.1" - Another three NASA missions launched on the Delta II.

DAWN - Mission to study asteroids Vesta and Ceres, using Ion propulsion system.

PHOENIX - Mars lander sent to investigate the Martian Arctic region.

GENESIS - Solar Wind sample-return mission to the Earth-Sun L1 point.

Add-on includes:
DAWN spacecraft, operation and flight notes, launch and post-launch scenarios.
PHOENIX spacecraft/lander, operation and flight notes, launch and post-launch scenarios.
GENESIS spacecraft, AS350 helicopter for mid-air recovery of Sample Return Capsule. Operation and flight notes, launch and post-launch scenarios. GenesisMFD to record and display orbit around L1 point.

Requirements:
All "Launch" scenarios require the "Delta II Missions Vol.1" add-on

Strongly Recommended:
Jarmonik's “Interplanetary MFD” (IMFD)
Nighthawk's “Asteroid Pack 1.00

Big thanks to Brainstorm for creating the AS350 helicopter!

The old Dawn, Phoenix and Genesis add-ons. Repackaged and updated for Orbiter2010-P1.

Excellent addon BrianJ! Will there be a Vol.3?

Thanks for the kind words :-)

No plans currently, but plenty of candidates for more Delta II Missions add-ons:
NEAR (old add-on available, not sure if it still works with Orbite2010-P1)
Mars Pathfinder + Sojourner
Deep Space 1
ICE
etc.etc.
So many spacecraft - so little time!

Great work! I'm going to start the Dawn mission tomorrow.
It's probably the most difficult mission of the lot. No target to launch to, no proper navigation tools (although I have managed to complete the mission using IMFD, and Piper's "Low Thrust Trajectory Planner" might be good for going from Vesta to Ceres) Good luck!

Which is why I'm installing [ame="http://orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=1801"]Asteroid Pack 1.00[/ame]

Honestly I doubt I'll get anywhere close to Vesta or Ceres, but I'll likely get a whole lot better at using both IMFD and ion engines.

Very nice addon:thumbup:. Thank you very much :)

Well done..Thanks for the update..Can,t wait for the next addition..:salute:

BrianJ, yes, your stuff is really top notch.

P.S.
Have you ever considered doing Kepler?

BrianJ,I have a question for you,how do you install the asteroid pack 100,so it works with the Delta2 mission packs?I followed the instructions in the read me from nighthawk, but the asteroids won't show up.Thanks

Hi. Just tested the asteroid pack 1.00 on my Orbiter2010-P1 installation and all seems good.

All the Delta II Mission Vol.2 scenarios use the standard "sol" system. Are you sure you edited your "sol.cfg" file correctly?
Post it here if in doubt.

Cheers,
Brian

P.S. Delta II Missions Vol.1 uses it's own solar system .cfg's if I remember right :-) So you'd have to edit the relevant .cfg if you wanted the asteroids in, say, the Stardust mission scenarios, for example.
