So when I press shift+t to select the MFD target I can't seem to type or click on anything, it just makes it go away. Can anyone help me on this? This is starting to confuse me.

You mean you can bring up a dialogue box but can't enter any characters into it?

I ran into that as well.

Shouldn't the mouse pointer be inside the input box?
It's a matter of focus.

Ok, you're kidding...
In english, pointer and cursor refer to the same thing, the arrow which indicates where on the screen your mouse is located. So both of you are talking about the same thing, but due to language differences doesn't know it.

So when someone says move the cursor they also mean the pointer. Different word, same thing.

Nah. The pointer and the cursor cannot be the same thing if they are both visible at the same time. They behave very differenty too. ;)

I can partly reproduce the problem. In my case, the dialogue boxes of the ExtMFD are not responding. When I close the MFD, the dialogue box remains visible and starts working. No problem with the regular MFD's.

Just an aside, I think I agree with DaveS. If one of you think there is a difference between the pointer and the cursor, please provide screenshots to illustrate the difference. Thnx.

My screencapture software does not capture the pointer. That's already a difference.

Well, I can't post Orbiter screens from my work.
I apologize for the language misunderstanding.

From my memory, when a default text-input box opens in Orbiter, just move the mouse over it (whatever moves on your screen when moving your mouse) and you can type.
Move the mouse whatever away, and that window stops accepting keyboard input.

Easy as that.
