Updates Blue Origin New Shepard News and Updates

That‘s awesome regarding both. I really grant Shatner that trip. Also, I think it might be a benefit to send people from the aerospace industries into space this way as well.

Without such companies those people might never be able to travel into space without complicated selection process and years of training.

I was wondering why nobody invited Brian May, at least on a suborbital flight. He's an astrophysicist , after all. I'm not sure what to say of Blue Origins' strategy of sending celebrities, but hey, if it helps spaceflight and doesn't blow up, why not ?

Shatner exits the capsule pretty much as he went in... 90 years is not the limit in space.
 
Not sure if he is acting or that is real emotion...
 
I think it was real emotions. One has to consider that he is 90 years old and facing the end of his life statistically any time soon as he exceeded the average life expectation in the US by more than 10 years. And then there comes this very special experience. He even refused the champagne and the "party" because he really wanted to let this sink in. I guess he has just a different perspective than the younger ones, still facing a significant life span.

After all this capsule was made for this I think. The huge windows actually is a key feature. For some rich people such a flight might be something like a trophy. For Shatner it was a real experience obviously. I don't think he was just a tourist. He was an explorer really enjoying the view and impressions. Like some Apollo astronauts said: "we came to explore space but we discovered the beauty of the earth".
 
I also believe, this was authentic.
