  It’s hard to believe that the B-58 Hustler has not previously been tackled for Orbiter.  The B-58 seemed fantastically advanced for its day.  The delta-winged, Mach 2.0 bomber was futuristic-looking, and as fast in speed and time-to-climb as the F-4 Phantom II, which it raced at least once.  

     Project Town Hall was a brief proposal, and study, examining the B-58 Hustler as the launch platform to use a minimum-modified Minuteman ICBM (then starting production) as a small satellite launcher.  Air launch would add the benefits of freedom from launch ranges, choice of inclination and longitude of ascending node, and consequent quick-reaction space launch.  

 

     To use any of the scenarios with Skybolts or Town Hall, you will first need to install Velcr o Rockets (not included).

     To use the Skybolt scenarios, you need the Skybo lt add-on.

     To fly from Edwards AFB, you will need the Proje ct X-15 Edwards and High Range add-on.

Thanks for the very useful Minuteman parts. I've maked a satellite launcher with performance similar to Taurus/Minotaur-C putting a Castor-120 as the first stage, and the Minuteman stages as stages 2,3,4. :thumbup: Why do you don't do a Peacekeeper add-on, or a Pegasus? Would be awesome and I can retrieve parts for making a Taurus.:hailprobe:

Nice add-on. The flight caracteristics and performance of the B-58 seems very realistic. And it looks awesome, too :tiphat:
