News Astute Aground!

I believe this is the second of only two subs that the Royal Navy have which they have managed to prang. Trafaglar had quite a bit of damage done to her not long back.

Not good just two days after the biggest budget review since Thatchers time.
 
The submarine, akin to Thatcher, was not for turning.

I failed my first attempt at my drivers license for the very same reason... it can happen when you're either not alert at all, or too much.
 
Maybe the sub's helmsman thought he is steering a sailboat :lol: because most small sailboats don't have steering wheel and to turn right you have to push the rudder handle to the left

I think there must be something in the BBC guidlines that forces them to use these odd descriptions. Haven't had olympic sized swimming-pools yet.

After dragging the Astute off the sand bank, damage assessment revealed that the generated cavitation noise level raised from 3.04 fairy whispers to 1.24 chainsaw screech. :lol:
