I want something like that for the Black Dart.

It's nothing fancy and it has so far failed to hit anything. It's bolted on using universal cargo deck and is a modified rocket from the model rockets pack on OH.

The plan is to write a guidance DLL for it but I'm not sure when I'll have time to sit down and do it hence I've not started a development thread.

Something to look forward to maybe ?

You may want to look at Topper's AA Missile since it comes with source code (under LGPL):

Looks promising.

Something like that can be done. Just give me the remaining 7 hours 20 minutes for my university project (Sleeping is for girls!)...

My list of "Things I want to have in the Black Dart mesh" is already pretty long...

Yes, I've got that as well as some other code. I'm not a C programmer but I understand the constructs well enough that I'd be able to come up with something but if it would work is another story!!

Urwumpe - If you have an interest in doing an ASAT type addon I'd like to pass on some of my ideas if you don't mind?

Sure, just let me know.

I had started making a mesh of the original ASM-135, but like always when I am so concentrated on making a good mesh, I forgot to save it before anim8or crashed. :(

That's suck...know it...:(

If you have more photo I could make you this part...

Just an update for the latest state... working on developing the guidance, here a first example of a near-miss.

Where was this thread hiding ??

Where was this thread hiding ??

Remember? Military add-on!

Of course it is hidden well! For making sure the pacifists don't hijack the thread.

Just had a direct center hit by x0.1 time warp and using the autopilot algorithm in manual control... now...back...

This wouldn't be hidden in the Black Dart bay would it ?

Currently, it would have to be installed at the wing pylons out of two reasons:

1. No rotary launcher to drop it.
2. The MFDs in the VC are still broken in the mesh, making it impossible to use a special targeting MFD for it... ok weak excuse ;)

Could this used on a ground launched missile/rocket as in Minotaur.

As it is now, not. You could attach it to the launcher and leave the first stage away, but it is not planned for such missions. Adapting the guidance for other KKVs is not really hard, so making a larger KKV is possible.

Is this for Space to Ground, Space to Air, Space to Space or all three ? What kind of attachments and heat shielding would it need ?
