News Add-ons working in Orbiter 2016

I'm working on an update to VF2_Rolf's Outer Planets addon. I think the main issue with that addon was that the bases wouldn't work on some of the moons; I think if I just remove the bases that cause crashing, it should work ok.

Artlav'x Docking Port Revealer works. Docking_Port_Revealer
Didn't work for me. On one spacecraft I tried it on, it showed the ports 90 degrees off; on another, it didn't show any indicators at all.

I tested it on Atlantis, DG, DGIV, ISS, XR2 and Shuttle-A. Which didn't work for you?

I've never been sure which way the "long side" of the arrow is pointing. I just go ahead and dock.

I tested it on Salyut and Papy's Bar. Salyut showed the arrows pointing on the sides of the craft, not at the docking ports. No arrows at all showed up on Papy's.

I'm in for the oldest add-on still working :)
Jupiter Icy Moons Orbiter [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=1848"]http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=1848[/ame]

A cfg-controlled spacecraft, made in July 2003. Don't get fooled by the 0.00 kB file size, it still downloads. Try scenario "3 Jimo appr Jupiter 0_8 AU", approaching Jupiter engine-first. But don't burn up in Jupiters atmosphere ...

I don't know if this is the best topic for such an info, but unless we are talking about working and not working addons, I decided to write it down here:

I encountered behavior of XR-2, which can be considered a BUG (and it probably concerns all XR vessels): the vessel may be landed and fully stopped with parking brakes, but after the sim is restarted, the ground speed is not zero again, thus external cooling is switched off immediately.

1. It can lead to overheating all XR vessels which are stationed with retracted radiators.
2. It can make XR vessels to drive away from their stations (it depends of inclination of the surface they are landed on, but my tests showed that very little inclination will be enough).

Except for the launch scenario doesn't work, because it requires a Delta rocket addon...

Yesterday I was playing with [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=1823"]Encounter MFD[/ame], and it seems it works in Orbiter2016.

[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3279"]Screen capture[/ame] works with Orbiter2016

I noticed something odd about videnie: I get an error message on the screen that I can't get rid of, that says:

Orbiter shutdown mode is set to DEALLOCATE, BUGS GUARANTEED on restarts
(Set no_annoying_messages to 1 or fix mode to deactivate this message)

The amazing Relativistic Warp MFD is working with orbiter 2016.

No matter who you are, I think you should try this addon once if you've never done it before. It's pure awesomeness. :10sign:

Can't you edit videnie's config file, or modify Orbiter's shutdown options in Launchpad Extra tab?

I found a parameter in videnie's config file that seemed to fix this.

[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4582"]Lagrangian points MFD v0.2[/ame] also seems to work.

what was the parameter you changed for videnie?
In Orbiter's root folder you have a file called orbitlines.cfg.
Edit no_anoying_messages, as posted by JohhnyBGoode.

It wasn't that hard :thumbup:

Code:
toggle=1
precision=200
tiny_cutoff=100000
my_orbit=1
all_orbits=1
planet_orbits=1
allow_internal=0
show_landed=1
hide_behind=1
draw_tiny=0
no_anoying_messages=0
pan_control_mode=0
exclude_object=Deimos

It's starting to look like most of the things that aren't working in 2016 are the newer ships and Earth bases, mostly.

USS Nemesis station seems to be working, although I haven't tried to dock with it yet...
