In August, Donald Henderson, who was largely responsible for the eradication of smallpox.

In July, Abdul Sattar Edhi, who provided medical care to millions in Pakistan and who frequently donated to the welfare of people around the world.

Also, Henry Heimlich, of "Heimlich Maneuver" fame, died on Dec 17th at age 96.

Gary Burghoff (Radar) David Stiers (Maj. Winchester) and Loretta Swit (Hotlips) are still around too IIRC.
 
Earlier today I watched a video of George Carlin and Richard Pryor on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Ed Mahon.

I am old enough that I might have seen that episode when it aired (unlikely as my parents wouldn't let me stay up that late), and all four of those guys are gone now.
 
And another one from 2016: December 28:

Jean-Christophe Victor, 69, political scientist and moderator of the TV show "Le Dessous des cartes".

His TV show is still one of my favorites on arte, very fascinating presentation.
 
Nah, forget it. I'd posted something of an old friend I only just found out passed away in 2016. He was quite a prominent guy in the USMC, but I concluded it is personal, really.

Just the same...

Rest in Peace.
