Well, made it back from a small tour of Texas. I've already been to all of these towns, but had a blast visiting them again with my girlfriend. I didn't get a chance to take as many pictures as I would have liked, but here are some of them you guys can see. I had a blast and it was a MUCH needed break!

Stepping into a time capsule! This was Roosevelts Bar (if I'm not mistaken, I need to check with Mandie as she heard about this place.) A lot of history in this bar!

haha, no doubt! I was only trashed the one night, just drink lot's of water before bed that night, take some Tylenol in the morning and drink more beer works for my hang overs.

Thanks, she is a great girl! She took some of the pictures, but we were with another couple for part of the trip so they took most of the ones of us together. I took the scenic shots myself.

Awesome pics, Tex! This makes me remember my own vacation the last June, which I spent in Lazarevskoe at the Black Sea coast.

A monument of Admiral Lazarev, an explorer of Antarctica, at Lazarevskoe railway station.

A mockup of a "Saurus Man" who might become the dominant life form on Earth, had the dinosaurs survived (that was a sort of entertainment exhibition in an amusement park).

A mountain valley that we traveled through to get to a 33 waterfalls gorge.

Interesting areas Tex. Texas seems quite scenic. It's a state I would be interested in seeing if I ever get the chance. Plus I've seen quite a bit of it in Walker Texas Ranger.

Yep, those mountains are pretty tough to climb. And my kids are just a joy to be with, I've never seen happier ones.

The endless variety of Earth, have we explored it yet when we seek the beauty out in the space?
I would loved to see Texas and the American continent, yet China was my destination this year, and here are the impressions:

On the Hainan island, the hotel.

Chinese foreign grammar at it's best...

A sort of a hospital in a small town.

Shanghai. A square under the Oriental Pearl tower.

A view from the Oriental Pearl tower. They say there are a new skyscraper built in the city every 8 days. Sounds plausible...

In the classic suburbs. Somehow that view reminds me of one popular computer game.

Sunshade tents on the pedestrian crossing. The only place in the world where i've seen something like that.

It's a common sight, despite being considered an anecdotal singles.

No wonder they build quick. Looks like facade works on 12 stories and lower does not need a crane.

A tiny street right angled to the wide avenue.

Later, the weather becomes more common for the region.

Going away from the city. The land of contrasts.

Enjoying the pics, guys. Here's some of my own, been on too many work trips recently, but this was from the last proper vacation. Spent most of the time doing either of these.

Thanks for the comments all! I'm also enjoying all of your vacation pictures as well, looks like a lot of fun times.

@ Cooper: Texas is really beautiful and has a little bit of everything from desert, swamps, forest, lakes, oceans, etc. Worth a trip to see it for sure, especially the hill country which consist of New Braunfels, Wimberly, and Austin surrounding areas. There are many great locations to see all over the state though.
