Tell us about yourself!

hello to all

Cesar is the name. From Colombia, S.A., but raised in the states. Ex-Marine, N.Y. Giants fan and astronomy buff. Love the new Orbiter, if I could only get to work. (haha that's being addressed) So I hope to be flying atmosphere soon with all.

Checking In

Hey there, I'm a 28 year-old engineering student out of San Diego and have been an Aviation/Aerospace geek for as long as I can remember.

After September 11th I decided to enlist and went into the US Navy as a Rescue Swimmer and Helicopter Crewchief. I made multiple deployments flying Combat and Medevac missions in Indonesia, and the Middle East. I received an Honorable Discharge in October of 2009 and am now (as the tag says) an aspiring rocket scientist going to school on the GI Bill.

:welcome: to the forum! :hello:

If your friend is a male: "мой друг" (moy droog)
If your friend is a female: "моя подруга" (mah-ya pa-droog-ah)

I've had the pleasure of making russian friends here in Sacramento, CA. My dentist is russian and the most beautiful woman I've ever met. I always look forward to getting into her chair, Even though she pulled all four of my molars. :)

If I could get in to a position like that I would be happy for the rest of my life. To bad by red/green colour vision betrayed me.

*forever unhappy*

Thank you so much for your service! Welcome to Orbiter-Forum. :tiphat:

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

@Carmen A: Pillows, like Puppies and earth-shattering kabooms need no justification.

@Turbinator: Care must be taken not to burn-out. Still Red/Green Color-blindness shouldn't be an issue if you go the civillian route, the military is just notoriously picky in that regard.

My introduction: I'm Frank

Hi to all,
Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Frank Winnubst, living in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, age 53, working as an HR consultant in a large European IT services provider.
I'm married and we have 3 children, aged 21, 20 and 16, of whom 2 are still living at home.
I stumbled upon Orbiter some months ago when I was looking for a space flight simulator because I had good memories of a game called Apollo 16 (or 17). I recently bought a new notebook with high-end specifications (I want it to last for some years) and decided to dive a bit deeper into Orbiter.

greetings to all of you,
Frank

Welcome mjinheer and enjoy your stay :3

Mijnheer.. That's some old school stuff :P So you speak a little bit dutch?

hi all,
i'm tom bigg, 30 living in aberdeen in scotland with my girlfriend, i'm a part time paper pusher, full time unsuccesful artist, i enjoy animation and 3d design and especially drawing and music, recording under the suitably rediculous rock alter ego of tom the noise monger for the past 10 years or so as well as a myriad of other bands and projects. when not glued to my monitor pretending to be a spaceman i'm found wandering the highlands like a mountain goat sleeping under a tarp and stubbornly refusing to bag any munroes.

Artist! Would be curious to see your artwork :3

As far as unsuccessful goes, I have had some success incorporating paintings or architecture work onto the two ship repaints I recently released. That might give you some exposure, if there were a art deco space fleet :3

Greetings!
I am Rien, I live in Belgium (that's why my English isn't good) and I love to use orbiter :)
Need to know anything more? ;)

Hi all,

Orbinaut from down-under, currently living in Tokyo (though heading back soon). Been a member here for a while, first time posting. Despite signing up ages ago I've hardly played at all.

Recently did my first couple of successful KSC to ISS runs in the XR2. Though it takes around 3 hours to get there. Looking forward to some advice!

Cheers, Paradox.

Well Hello All,

My name is Felipe, I'm 25 y/o, born in Brazil, currently living in Mexico City.
I'm a Game Designer, and have played flight sims since I was 5 (on the single 3.5" diskette MSFS 4.0) and every new version of it ever released... Been playing Orbiter for a good many years now... can't remember when I first picked it up. I love everything related to flight, space flight, game programming, and computer input devices (I currently have 8 joysticks in my collection :P )

Also, Moach is my brother and also an active Orbiter community member.

Cheers
