There's this neat operating system being developed called ReactOS:

Apparently it is able to run many Windows programs without actually having Windows installed. Anyone else heard of it? I wonder if it can run Orbiter well... :)

I never tried Orbiter in it, as I don't think they have made it so that you could install it within your system as the primary operating system instead of just being a guest OS through a virtualization method such as Vmware or QEMU. Last time I checked, it did not work in Qemu, but it works fairly well in vmware, definitely not ready to be used on a daily basis.

ReactOS, basically an open-source windows XP remake, have a big potential, unfortunately it is far from perfect yet - the most complex game it can run is half-life 1.

Lots of programs are working, but there are more bugs than in win95, since it is under development, not in a ready to use stage.

Haven't tried to run Orbiter under it... May be worth a try.
