I just put up support for Blender 4.5 LTS.

No really big changes. Try it out and let me know if you have any issues.

Forum note: The early pages of this thread appear to be missing, or I cannot access them. I usually update the original post with recent details. Can that be accessed somewhere? Or a new 'home' post created?

Blender Tools Releases

@gattispilot Try Blender 4.5. I have not done a lot of testing with 5.0.

Thanks for the help. I auto smoothed. but still have these issues. I had to take the front plate and flip it and place on top on the frontplate

Could you repost the link please?

Good job on the Saber, although the reflectiveness of the materials is supposed to be similar to what Fast_toche came up with on the Akira. In fact, I'm pretty sure this applies to all the other vessels using David Metletits' 3D models.

Not sure how to fix these. The hull needs to be lighter?
But the numbers need to be connected. Still the top and front parts are bad.
But they are good in the shader

Yeah, I think the hull does need to be somewhat lighter, similar to how it appeared in the image I sent you.

By the way, have you tried applying any of the techniques you've learned on any of the other vessels you've done so far (particularly the Olympic and Prometheus)?

yes. But no success. these Olympic and Prometheus seem to big for blender?

this is what I see in this ship. almost like clipping

You should check how you treat the normals and how the groups look like in Blender. I also noticed lately that Blender starts producing weird results in Orbiter, when a shape has no clearly defined outside.
