Discussion Spaceflight Video Thread

What a spectacular mission this was. The most amazing space mission for me. Too bad I could not watch it because I was too young. But it certainly was one of those events in space flight to turn blue at lift off due to holding the breath.

They have a very high speed of sound there....
It sounds almost like doomsday to me. Still amazes me what the human brain can create. I can hardly imagine how it feels like when you are actually there and not just watch a video of it. But can't wait to get my 75 inch TV in the living room at least. I might connect the "buttkicker" and use headphones for watching such videos

I think hearing it with your ears and stomach will always be a completely different experience. The Eurofighter also sounds much less impressive in video than when you actually see it flying above you.

Good look inside the first Apollo boilerplate to go into orbit (a bit over) 60 years ago, in addition to the usual engineering awesomeness, both in produced and raw versions :hailprobe:

I was reading stuff about the Apollo boilerplate tests and uncrewed Saturn I/B and V launches just two days ago. The videos are a nice addition 👍
