One of the funniest I've seen in ages. Put a couple of those into OMP and you can have drag races down the wideawake runway.

And the idea pof the week award goes to gary!

Simulation of Relief Operations above KSC, using a modified version of the Antonov-225 to drop UCGO food and water cargo...this is actually a *clue* on my upcoming and still-in-progress VSA, which will include ground ops as well.

Dropping around 8 boxes of food and water over Marathon Keys Airport and Habana

Coming in to land without a runway, this An-225 was modified to land without runways...though its hard to brake

And i thought the XR5 was bigger than the An-225

Some great shots of the latest planet orbiter mission controlled by my virtual aerospace company: the Aphrodite Express Venus orbiter.

Aphrodite Express at 40 hours after launch, with the Earth just left of the spacecraft and the Moon straight down of it.

Aphrodite Express coming to within 100 km of the Venusian surface during one of the aerobraking orbits.

For the background of this spacecraft, see my previous post here about its sistercraft Ares Express.

I'm wondering, how do you plan interplanetary missions like that?

It's time for you to take out the TransX tutorials! (well I was around the same level as you did just one month ago, and it takes several attempts to get all things right, but now I am able to fly to the Moon, Venus, Mars and perhaps some NEOs)

Let's see if I have time to learn planetary slingshots this summer to expand my flights out into the outer planets, as well as Mercury....

I could do a simple transfer to Mars or Venus with TransX. But slingshots, I also don't know about that.

Here what I spend last night doing...
Soon to be, if I can figure out how to do some things... It's a learning process, right? Any guesses as to the craft?

And two more...

I've got an ini file for that plane, but I'm doing something wrong (getting CTD). I'll get it soon enough.

K1999Eagle

My new Eagle. Its a large file (18mg) but works beautifully in 2010p1 with D3D9 version 11.2 on my 11 year old Pentium4 and AGP ATI card.
Original mesh is from James Murphy and tweaked by Jestr. I have also tweaked the textures etc. The rest will come from an old addon by Kev33.
It will be a Genericvessel thing, as to choose the Eagle and pods as from the scenario editor as vessels.
Nothing spectacular, just a simple Sc3 type thing. You can attach and detach the pods.

Same here. Ive had a hard time finding some TransX features. Maybe sopme have disappeared in the final builds?

Nice stuff! I would go with that last one. I would help code it, but you know about the parachutes...

LORU LIMBO!!!!! :jiggy:

No, I think that would have to involve rocking back & forth on the hover thrusters. Consider the challenge offered Dgatsoulis ;)

I tend to use [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4439"]Trajectory Planner[/ame] to work out the dV requirements, launch plans and to generate the base transX plan. I also use the cosmic train schedule for some planning as well as TransX and IMFD so it's not just one tool but a range of them.

I'm currently looking at launch windows to the asteroids.

In the meantime I've still got my ISS resupply missions and as this is the screenshot thread........

Progress M-02M leaving the international space station is it flies over Boston, USA.
