Australian Grand Prix Melbourne, 15-17 March

Sad to see Charlie Whiting pass away.

Certainly the events of the past few days haven't been great at all.

Hopefully there is good racing to distract us.

Just watching the shocking events in Christchurch, I'm sure everyone is as appalled as me.

Lewis Hamilton on pole in Australia.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/47594132

Lewis Hamilton pipped Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas to pole position at the season-opening Australian GP.
Hamilton was behind the Finn going into the final runs in qualifying but edged ahead by 0.112 seconds to take his sixth consecutive pole at Albert Park.
Hamilton was a massive 0.704secs quicker than Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel in third, just ahead of new Red Bull's Max Verstappen.
British rookie Lando Norris took a superb eighth on his debut for McLaren.
And George Russell, the other British rookie, was 19th, well ahead of his Williams team-mate Robert Kubica.

Honda shows potential! Lando Norris did an amazing first F1 qualifying.

Well, that seemed to be a bog standard F1 race.

Still haven't sorted the passing situation yet.

Melbourne's track is too particular. Next round in Bahrein we'll get a clear assessment on this. The race was pretty much nothing too emotional... Bottas passed hamilton on the start and no one ever saw him again...

That's why I plan to attend MotoGP round, not F1. To Italy this year....
Mugello. Interesting, does Fred18 care about MotoGP\Moto2\Moto3...

I watch MotoGP when I can, but I'm a long time Ferrari fan, so I follow closely F1.

Anyway I have been to Mugello, you're going to have a lot of fun there. Place, surroundings, circuit, race, atmosphere are amazing!

Bottas out-Hamilton'd Hamilton. Nailed his start, took his line, and never looked back.

The drive he needed. I'm sure it'll do wonders for him.
