Idea Shuttle Fleet recompile for Orbiter 2016

If you want I an add them to the zip? Will they override what I have?
It's all yours my friend, though I dont think something would be overwritten (unless if it have same names or you want to overwrite it) :):)

How should the hi def meshes be mentioned. If I remember the hi def replace the standard meshes.
In my installation, I noticed that the HD meshes aren't compatible with the standard ones, so what I did is I "repaint" the standard mesh with HD textures

(Slwt_1.msh):
Code:
TEXTURES 1
ET-125_exterior_launch.dds

(Slwt_burnt.msh):
Code:
TEXTURES 1
ET-125_exterior_burnt.dds

also should all the scn have GNC_RUN 1? It seems most are MEt-30
MET-30 is the default timer because it follows the first parameter set in the guidance file (the Orbit command)

In Mir/Hubble/ISS missions, the METs are set to T-540 sec (9 min) because I based it on the original scenarios found on Thorton's [ame=https://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3737]ISSR[/ame] addon, and in my opinion it makes sure that the shuttle would rendezvous with the station/satellite in the shortest time possible

In addition, the GNC_RUN 1 command is needed because I set the timers on a way that when it hits T-0, the shuttle lifts off according to the historical date/time the mission started. (For historical missions only, excluding fictional ones:):))

Good morning all,
in the chrono do not forget that in the scenarios of PAD39-A and B HD there is the time of withdrawal of the gangway of the crew and the filling arm of ET.

SUPER work guys

Hello everyone,
the shuttle had an order that worked on Orbiter 2010:
"CTRL" + "J" = Open / close the fuel / external tank hatches.
do you think you can restore it ?

Hello everyone,
the shuttle had an order that worked on Orbiter 2010:
"CTRL" + "J" = Open / close the fuel / external tank hatches.
do you think you can restore it ?

So on the CTRL J are the hatches on the orbiter or ET. If on the Orbiter and part of the mesh yes can be done

Are these them?
8TrpYpB.jpg

if so. I can animate them open at 60 degrees? But are them open on launch?

I may leave the HD pads as is except add the part for burnt tank

Those umbilical doors were open on launch. Part of my own "checklist" when I used Shuttle Fleet was to close them shortly after attaining orbit.

You want them open at 180 degs, inward, while attached to the tank.

Good morning all,

In fact the hatches are the closing hatches under the Shuttle of the connection system of the pipes of the external tank (ET) they are opened towards the inside of 180 ° and are closed after the jettisoning of the tank.

Like this:

I guess one can check visually if they are open or not?

I will add a line to the launch scn for this.

EXTRAORDINARY
Even more towards reality !!
THANKS AGAIN

Will with that I need to redo the tank meshes. As on my the fuel lines don't extend into the open area.

Added the ctrl J for external fuel hatches. The hi def et and srb may needs some work as far as scns.

Hopefully got everything. Reorganized the scn. Added a UARS texture folder to ease install

So I installed this first and added the sf,.... and skiped files already there.

Do we have some good images of the IRIS and LAGEOS Apogee Stage (LAS).
I made some crude meshes:

Found a higher definition image from spacefacts.de

Also, in the same website, LAGEOS-2 is painted silver, rather than gold as seen in LAGEOS-1

Yes, I can find any drawings. In the press kit it mentioned.:
The Space Vision System uses a Shuttle TV camera to monitor a pattern of target dots of known spacing
arranged on an object to be tracked.

So I guess I can make a black vessel with white dots for the rms to get.

That might be the black object on the left of the cargo bay?

For the CANEX-2 experiments, target dots have been placed on the Canadian Target Assembly (CTA), a
small satellite carried in the Space Shuttle's cargo bay. During the flight, a mission specialist will use the
arm to deploy the CTA and take it through a series of maneuvers using the information displayed by the
SVS.

Hm, STS-52 featured PAM-D type of cradles in payload bay after a long hiatus... I always
I have a feeling that PAM-D cradles are not up to date, I mean from Gazza's time (when PC's were weaker) they look a bit flat, "sterile". In real photos it can be seen that, for example, front of these cradles is uneven, some internal frame is "sticking through". In STS-51D photos it is obvious...

And Spacelab mesh too are a bit too simple...

As these meshes were used on many missions, maybe...
well... just thought... nevermind.

Hello "gattispilot"
I tested your last file sts2016.5.zip

I think there was a bad backup of the corrected files because I noticed that
several scenarios for which we had solved problems still have the same
problems !
I tested all the scenarios and here is the result.

Scenarios with problems:

(018) STS51-G Discovery /// Only SBS-4 and PAM-1 are visible.
Lack ASE-DOOR-MORELOS as well as the other two satellites and their PAM.

It is like they say the devil is in the details;)

So fixed some. Other than the Intelsat6 textures. When you run 61c what does the log show?

Also can you post what the hst position should be?

---------- Post added 09-18-19 at 05:33 AM ---------- Previous post was 09-17-19 at 06:36 PM ----------

This should fix the majority:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=16WxTzHcnajS6eQZNyAJJ_bHZplLUJR4O

On the missing textures can you post the log.

I get a ctd on the sts 48 with UARS also?

What should be in the hold of sts 109?

Fictional sts 51g Weird the telestar ase doors do not show up on the scn window so I can press K. the other 2 do

I wonder if a sc3/4 issue in the scn?

STS-4HI-DEF this one uses the hi-def textures/meshes not sure what we do about it.

One thing that is odd. Is the attachment point values seem to be different. I ran some scn in my "old" orbiter and in the vanilla visually the point are different. That is why the cargo is off. It seems off by 3

If I remember correctly, USMP (STS-52, 62, 75, 87) was sort of like a repackaged MSL, similar to the ones flown on STS-7 and 61C (but with an additional MPESS). Also, here's a great document on SM3B (109). Page 23 (2-4) will be of particular interest.

Thanks.
on these:
HST_ex

1 STS-31 HST Launch /// The Shuttle is too low on the firing point.
HST is not centered in the hold of the Shuttle

The height was good it was a bit off. So I move the shuttle closer to the edge so the tail doesn't hit the fence.
but this:
HST is not centered in the hold of the Shuttle

So this zip fixes the uars and shuttle position on sts 31. I needed to install spacecraft 4 to get the ase door to work

...Not to mention, SM4 (STS-125)
IMG_0345.JPG

That is if it is OK for BrianJ to expand his HST_EX addon to include all other servicing missions

Yes. I noticed on their site they don't have the cargo model any more.:(
I asked them about it.

I think the big zip and 2 fixes should fix what we have NOW. Not sure if good enough to release and start on more scenarios?

Oh the cardboard model is sts 125:
