Orbiter 2010 basic installation question

The contents should go into a dedicated subfolder called "Textures".

Thanks for the response. I see there is a textures and a textures2 folder. I assume I put the contents in the textures folder. What is the textures2 folder for anyway? I just want to make sure I will be using the HiRes.

It'is the same but...

Orbiter first looks for textures in the "textures2" folder, then (if it does'nt find) it looks in the "Textures" folder.

so you can put the texture were you whant, but if there is same name for a "texture.dds", the first loaded will be from "textures2"....

I hope it's clear :tiphat:

I downloaded the big install and unzipped. Where do I put the Textures_Orbiter_2012_100830 folder? Thanks

Ok I answered my own question.

After downloading and unzipping the BigFile_Orbiter_2012 you will have 2 folders. BigFile and Textures. Since the texture folder is unzipped you will have to copy all the files in the texture2 folders to the texture2 folders in the bigfile.
