I am using the Med-res KSC mod and I am having problems with the runway texture. When I load up a scenario its fine, but then when I launch it turns into this weird pixely ground texture. It only does that if I look forward on the runway and if I look from a different view(turn the camera other than directly forward) the runway textures comes back again. It still does it if I look forward after looking from a different way. Is there any way to fix this?

I've seen this before, and I've poke around the forum trying to find the culprit with no luck.

Did you completely replace the stock KSC with this one? http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2821? And do you have Shuttle Fleet? The reason I ask about the fleet is that it too has a Canaveral in the cfg/Earth/base folder; you may have some config files stepping on one another.

I recommend sticking with [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5583"]KSC hires tiles[/ame], as it's for the current Orbiter version, and supplied by the Orbiter creator.

I tried that and theres black outlines and I am just not a fan of it. I do have shuttlefleet so theres no fix at all for this?

Black outlines? Could you post a screenshot, cause that's not normal.

Do you use AutoFCS? If not, you may be able to delete the KSC.cfg file out of the config folder, as it is what is writing (I think) another Cape Canaveral base onto what is already there in the Earth/Base folder. Maybe back up, and move that file somewhere else to see if that fixes it. The downside is that you'd not be able to use the Cape as a recovery site using AutoFCS.

I'm at a work computer so I can't try this myself ATM. I can't guarantee good results, so if you try it BACK UP THAT FILE.

I can't remove it or it crashes but I can remove objects. I tried removing the runway and putting it in the Canaveral file but the runway doesn't show. It only shows if I have the runway in the KSC file.

You wouldn't happen to be using a mod enabler would you?

If so, I'd recommend removing shuttle fleet entirely and seeing if that fixes your problem.

And, I still can't figure out the black outlines things.

Also, are you using stock graphics or D3D9?

I don't know what mod enabler is. I tried a fresh install of orbiter with only Hi-Res KSC installed and the runway still bugged out. I also tried removing KSC.cfg and keeping only Canaveral.cfg but that didn't change anything.

I have fixed it! I used the Orbiter Base Maker program and saw that the two ends on the runway were clipped into the actual runway so I moved them a tiny bit apart and that solved it. Thanks for the help! :D
