After a clean install of Orbiter 2010, followed by orbiter sound 3.5, Ummu 2.0, the latest D3D9 client, and the XR2 1.5 files attempting to start Orbiter_ng.exe results in the following error message:

The procedure entry point ?LightEmitterCount@VESSEL@@QBEKXZ could not be located in the dynamic link library Orbiter.exe

This same error occurs when trying to launch any scenario with the XR2 with the standard Direct X 7 graphics client regardless of whether the D3D9 client was installed or not, or when trying to add an XR2 to an already running scenario.

Please check if you have Orbiter 100830 (2010-P1) or newer. It seems that you use Orbiter 100606 (2010).

Yes it seems that was my problem. I did no look closely enough at which version it was. orbitersimulator.com only has 100606 it seems.

Thanks for the help.

orbitersimulator.com only has 100606 it seems.
There is also a patch you can download from that site, which should be the 100606 to 100830 upgrade patch.
