Hey, I was just wondering If anyone knows where I could find a copy of the 3ds/anim8or file of the Lunar-OB1 included in the stock orbiter install? Ive been hoping to do a nice UMMU/UCGO version with a nice VC for my next project

Dont no about 3ds but if your using Anim8or there is a conversion utility floating around.

Personally I do my 3d modeling in Blender (It's open source!) in conjunction withVlad's Orbiter plugin.

Once installed, go to File menu, Click "Import", click "Orbiter 3d mesh", open orbiter's mesh directory, select "Wheel.msh", hit enter.

You're free to modify Luna OB-1 to your heart's content.

To save it hit the save button.

I do have blender, but Ive never been able to make heads or tails of what to do with it. I will take a look and see if I can use said plugin to extract me a 3ds file

I strongly reccoment the "Noob 2 Pro" and BlendSwap tutorials.

It really is a very powerful and versitile program once you get over the initial hump. I used to use a bunch of different 3d rendering and animation programs, now it down to just Blender and SourceFM.
