Regarding the DCS sale: I'm a bit torn between the UH-1 and the P-51 right now, possibly also the Ka-50 update. Help!

Years of using the internet, still no search result for my name in Google.

I consider it a success.
Oh no wait, that means I've never achieved anything.

Luckily there seems to be a moderately-famouse singer with my same name and surname who is quite good at internet-shielding me on search engines. :)

P-51 is pretty must-have to me, feels really different to other planes and it makes even Il-2 1946 feel artificial. Starting the engine in DCS is simply mindblowing and that even the instrument panel is vibrating once you started it is just "Wow!" (I really wish I could have such an effect in the Black Dart, right next to the USB coffee cup force feedback shaker)

The only bad thing: The P-51 is currently feeling also pretty isolated in the DCS universe, you can enjoy flying a well done warbird, but you can't really simulate combat with it, there is only a Fw 190D6 as comparable opponent.

Damn it. Combination of having unique surname and Facebook account puts me on top of the first page. Also this thread.

What really saddens me is that googling 'Izack' returns nothing but baby names and other people's accounts on things for at least three pages. Don't pick real names for online accounts.

"You know, flying in space is pretty easy, even for a civilian, given enough money and patience"

Fixed that for him.
200,000$ for one ride in the VomitComet, uh, SpaceShipTwo.
$20 million for a Soyuz trip to the ISS.

---------- Post added at 03:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:02 PM ----------

Although the Soyuz price has probably risen a lot since everyone is dependent on it.
The $20 million figure is from Dennis Tito back in 2001...

That randomly reminds me that someone showed me somewhere on my university's website that you can just search people and get their home address, full name, and class. Though the class seems to be generally wrong (senior vs freshman, etc) and the address seems like it was intended to be campus addresses (still weird) but happens to show home addresses instead...

Ha, I've tested a website of a bank for loan aplication together wth a buddy lately, and we found out that if someone fills out the form, but doesn't complete the request (from anywhere in the world), the next one filling out the form would have all the information of the last applicant still filled out in the form. That's address, phone numbers, job addresses, information on salary and stuff like that... :shifty:

That or you're the only one in the classroom who can sense stupidity.

For science fiction, I used to be more interested in faster-than-light vessels that could travel across the galaxy in a matter of hours. After that, I was more interested in vessels that could only travel to nearby star systems in a matter of days or weeks.

Now, I am either interested in "hard sci-fi" vehicles that travel interplanetary distances, or a machine that could travel anywhere in time and space.

Anyone here have read/watch the comic/anime "Attack on Titan"? It seems to be one of the best Japan comic series for the past few years, and it was so highly appreciated that I (who rarely read comic books) take a look at it - turns out that it is pretty good, with lots of emotional and hot-blooded scenes. While not exactly up to LoTD level, it's good enough for me to continue reading it....

Regarding the weather in my area, a friend may have it worse. (Albeit with MUCH less humidity)
Low of 91 anyone?

No, falling. Orbiting is pretty easy. You just need to fall back to Earth and miss it.

 Seems like I've read something like that before. Along the lines of; flying is throwing yourself at the ground, and missing?

The best flight is one that ends in a soft landing.
