Cripes, man:blink:
What happened?

Pneumonia as a teenager. My mother falsely diagnosed a late influenca and simply kept me at home for almost two weeks, since I had spring holidays anyways and started to worry after the temperature did not fall below 39° at all after a week.

liable to catch something worse at the clinic.

PS: 98.2/36.8 now. I really should have canceled my morning walk--that's definitely what made it spike...

Yes, but then a morning walk is likely healthier than going to a clinic. 38°C feels bad, but it is not outside normal parameters. You just need to weather it, maybe wear a lot more clothes as well, for further pushing the temperature up... your body needs this now.

I should really start a list/blog called "Everything wrong with Star Wars physics"
I mean you're in orbit, your ship's orientation turns and you fire your engines towards the planet? Seriously?

I feel like ass:( I hung out with a friend who had a bad cough, and now I'm having temps in excess of 38 C/100 F for a third day (with a heat index of about 120:lol:)

I'll go to the clinic on Saturday, but I'm looking at about 150 USD.

I feel your pain. About a month or so ago I came down with a fever so bad that I literally wanted to plug myself into a radiator, maybe even a 1900 Kelvin one! Hopefully it'll be gone soon enough.

Here's an outline of what you should do.

1)Go to Blacksmith
2)Get Cattle Prod (needs to be able to brand your initials)
3)Wait for summer (is there summer in canada? or is it just, not as cold as winter?)
4)Heat up Cattle Prod
5)Run up behind her (preferably when she's wearing shorts or sleeveless shirt)
6)Brand her
7)???
8)Profit

or you could just talk to her...but where's the fun in that?

Okaaay...

Mojoey, I just want to let you know that that is the only Idea I have ever heard that gets worse the more I think about it. On the other hand, she did throttle me once, so maybe not...

(And before you ask, there was a good reason for why, and no Im not telling ;))

Yes we do have summer here, maybe even a little too hot for you Mojoey, since the Great Lakes make it fairly humid year round. It just isnt looking like that now though.

Your first objective should be a simple harmless date. Just a meeting outside your usual routines. Think of the conversation like spaceflight: Instead of fighting gravitation and use extreme forces, only direct the conversation with small well-planned impulses in the right direction and let things take their way (and time). If she has the same objective as you have, you will have a date sooner than you can even dream of. If not, it pays out to slowly and carefully direct the conversation to the point that NOT going to a date with you is unthinkable. (I used the last option last year... it took a few weeks, but was worth the effort)

Unfortunately, our usual routines may never intersect, this was the first time Id seen her in something like 2 years or so (actually, the first time Id seen her since I had found Orbiter, although the two trends aren't related). The more I think about the situation, the less likely the whole thing becomes, since the effective end of the pork chop plot for this launch window would have to be September for various reasons.

On the other hand, the situation is sort of complicated, because, well...

I have her number (I think). When she was at the cash register, she happened to be getting some sort of customer loyalty card/mailing list thing/ whatever. The damn cashier had to ask phone number, and part of me wanted to listen, part of me didn't, so I may have remembered it correctly, and I may not have.

But ultimately, I doubt I could ever summon the courage to actually call the thing, so it doesn't really matter. I figure I should probably just forget the whole thing, since its so unlikely to work, and there are 3.5 billion other females on this planet.

And remember: it is just one first date to find out how you both are outside your usual turf. Once you have one date, your goal is not the next date. It is finding out how well you really fit together. If all fits perfectly, the next date is already in the making. And then the next. And eventually it becomes a baby, running out of hair and annoying relatives of her.

You seem to find that last part very amusing . In any case, my genes would seem to dictate that I will lose my hair anyways, so my hands are already tied.

Eventually it'll be so bad, It'll be a good idea.

40 C = 104 F = emergency room stuff. 105+ = hallucinations and possible brain damage.

Halucinations, sure. Brain damage, hardly. Or wait, maybe that's why I am the way I am... ?

I have this nack for fevers. They're short, and they're uggly. If I register above 37, I tuck myself in bed and stay there for the whole day (usually register between 36 and 36.5 on most "under the arm" thermometers). This way there's a chance that I can stop it before it starts and can get up again the next day.
The usual course is ramping it up to between 39 and 40 on the first night, staying like that for 2 to 3 days (temperature peak during the night and at noon, usually around 38 in the morning). It happens that it goes up to 41, rarely higher. The halucinations aren't so fun really. Halucinations are fun if you know that you're halucinating.

They're also not so colorful. The brain just takes a few wrong turns, and you start to think funny stuff. The only halucination I actually remember wasn't a halucination, more a delusion: I was searching for the wedges to put under my pillow to adjust the height... :shifty:

Naagh, all you gotta do is switch on external cooling and open the cabin hatch:thumbup:

Temp was a tad low this morning. My mom and sister are having breakfast in town. I can't go, for the obvious reason:rolleyes: But they promised they'd bring me something back:)

The thermometer I've been using is an oral Reli-on. It's never given me any strange results, but we've had it for a very long time, so I wonder how accurate it really is...

Tsk, tsk, my Hamilton Griffins are much more disciplined than that. On the other hand, they just missed the playoffs too, so maybe you're on to something better...

NHL 2009 was where I first learned to make textures, good times :).

:hailprobe:

Well, I've played most of the first period and all of the second period short-handed (and it seems like I'll be playing 5-on-3 PP for the rest of the game this way, if this keeps up) and it also seems as if my players are playing with a fundamental flaw.

Or at least, a minor character weakness.

That is, they seem to be constitutionally incapable of passing an opposing team's jersey without endeavoring to thump the living daylights out of its wearer. The last interference call was for my center ignoring the face-off puck drop and charging the opposing center and flipping him over onto the ice while the ref scuttled like the dickens to get out of the way.
