I knew I saw him before, it's Commander Riker, TNG. :hello:
OK, revisiting the "hot anime chicks" subject...
Just playing with Geogebra. Kinetic energy of an 1 kg body as function of speed.
Red line = according to the theory of relativity
Orange line = according to classical mechanics (as in Orbiter)
The green asymptote marks the speed of light, where the energy tends to infinity.
We had a pair of Bear-F's buzz the New Jersey back in '88 (thats 1988 before any of you dudes comment (grin)).
Tetris is the best.
I've recently returned to my saves on A Link to the Past and Super Mario World (SNES emulator on phone). Very long, very addicting games.
I remember when I could barely wrap my head around the idea of a touchscreen. And I'm only 19. ._. Technology...
We had a pair of Bear-F's buzz the New Jersey back in '88 (thats 1988 before any of you dudes comment (grin)). They are really big, they flew close enough for everybody who had a camera to get some good pictures. I could see members of the flight crew waving, a few of our guys mooned them. Ahhh, good times.
Never played '94, but NHL '96 for SEGA Genesis was basically my favorite game to play with my brother. (random fights! :lol
Those are back when individual games were made almost solely by one programmer, and there were only a handful of big names in game making.
On one occasion The USS Sacremento has a ship on her starboard side, us on the port side while we were fueling another ship off our port side.My hometown! but it's actually Sacramento
The one time I had time to ask, was post-Glasnost (spring, '92) with a bunch of (now) Russian sailors at a bar in Aarhus Denmark, and we were too busy getting drunk to talk shop.
I had a friend in a computer class this semester who had the honor of watching a pair of Marines drink a pair of Aussie bubbleheads under the table.

My job is similar now: drag carts back to the store, load concrete mix bags, and help load bags of potting soil, fertilizer, and large quantities of lumber.New job is very satisfying: working in a garden centre. Outside all day, watering plants, and putting out the occasional cigarette fire. Not getting further ahead financially, but hey, it's not a kitchen.
The Home Depot that I work at is just at the other end of the neighborhood from my house, compared to the other end of the county for the airport!

Good lord! I dont think I would be trying to buzz anybody in a big beast like that.
How very mature of your crew. I dont think that glastnost was supposed to extend in that way.
Oh, they always reciprocated when given an opportunity.
It was during the "Great Denmark Drunkfest" that I really got the opportunity to talk with my Russian (former Soviet) counterparts. It was there that I got a real appreciation that, no matter what country maight have a persons loyalty or allegiance, being a sailor out at sea, away from home and family, blows.
It was something that we all shared and realized around a big circular table. If we'd only manage to get politicians to see the world from our point of view the cold war wouldn't have lasted nearly as long as it did. Many of us then realised that it was the greater humanity that we served, not so much our politicos safely tucked away, miles from danger.
The beer was cold, and the friendship was warm. I hope all those guys finished out their careers and went home as safe as I did (I wish I could remember the name of their ship, it was what we called a Udaloy(?) destroyer). There were two Lithuanian Krivaks (?) along with us.
Seriously though, some of the best memories I have you just wouldn't believe. Many might think "Well, that just can't happen", well, often truth can be stranger than fiction.
Heh, Home Depot here as well. All that orange everywhere. Across the county from my house, though. (In a neighbouring county, actually.)My job is similar now: drag carts back to the store, load concrete mix bags, and help load bags of potting soil, fertilizer, and large quantities of lumber.

A vertical forest is nearly complete in Milan. There are two tower apartment complexes which contain a total of 400 residential units. The facade of the buildings will be covered with 730 trees, 5,000 shrubs, and 11,000 perennial plants. It is expected to have the same ecological impact as 10,000 square meters of forest.
Aside from fighting smog and producing oxygen, the foliage is expected to provide insulation to the residential units.

Hmm - idea seems good however living with all those trees on the building amount of insects will be staggering. Beetles, wasps, maybe even hornets will have great feeding ground next to suitable home.
