I hope you already enjoy it and the usual search for the jokes on popular homepages.

My current finds:

Heise Online: "OSM License change rips holes into the capital"
http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meld...reisst-Loecher-in-die-Hauptstadt-1486457.html

Making Berlin look on OSM like on old GDR maps.

Also, in my local newspaper (no link possible)
"Magath plans to hire Lionel Messi for VfL Wolfsburg"

(OK, we can afford him. But I am sure Magath knows that Messi is not even worth a cent outside Barcelona, the team makes 99% of his success)

tl8 linked this product recall........

The video that goes along with the maps is even better, imo.

Hopefully that helps in uncovering the Bielefeld conspiracy!

Which conspiracy? I had been there. It is just a sign at a fake train station!

Try Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller and Mario Gomez. ;)

Google has apparently invented a weather changing machine at their campus at San Francisco Bay.... :jawdrops:

Mars Effect sounds thousands of times better than minecraft, honestly.

We had an April fools joke in a talk show. The topic was serious though: the big gasoline rip-off - who stops the price gouger? They just fooled the moderator. At some point a famous German science journalist, who was one guest, said latest studies have shown that adding sodium hydrogen carbonate to fuel will reduce consumption up to 15%. A German politician said that it's true. They already had the baking soda discussion in the parliament. And ex Formula One driver Niki Lauda, who was also guest, added that they already where thinking to use it in Formula One cars

But I think the majority of the guests in the studio believed it (and probably lots of people in front of their TVs). They didn't laugh at all.

That's what they want you to think! Bielefeld exists, just not at the location that the official sources say it does (Thus the fake train station).

Bielefeld is, in fact, somewhere in Wyoming, which, paradoxically, does not exist.

That's the reason why Wyoming is a rectangle on most of the maps, it doesn't exist, no one knows how it looks like, "Draw a rectangle somewhere in the Rockies!".

Ironically, the "draw a rectangle somewhere in the Rockies" strategy was also used to define the borders of Colorado, which does exist.

Fun fact: "Wyoming" is an old Cherokee word meaning "No state here".
