I couldn't resist another one... A peoples-eye view. I had to move the spotlights with scenario editor, but the results are certainly appealing (I think so anyway).

So a bit more work with the VAB, Added a metal framework 'crane' system and fixed up the Neptune with it's interstage just to keep TNeo happy :lol:

There is no fairing on the Neptune rocket yet as the payload needs to be installed.

I must thank Woo482 for all his help with getting an interior added to the Ascension island VAB and for assisting with editing the metal framework mesh. :thumbup:

Well, nothing really new on the visuals but I felt I had to post this after the two above pics :lol:



I should rotate the fairing, so that the labels face the cameras. That's the point.

About the series of numbers in the lower left of the screens :

The first is the safety factor roll. Let's say I set 85 in the scenario file, here I got a 30. Here I'm safe because 30 < 85. The subsequent numbers are other rolls to determine what type of failure will happen, and when. Of course, you won't see those in the final product. So if you don't set 100 of reliability, there always will be a doubt on the success of the mission until the payload is correctly separated (last possible failure is negative payload separation.

I've decided to resurrect the ZTC-TLC project, and am currently exploring various missions and fuel requirements.

The Tortoise is going to get a lamprey-strap on assembly to make landing and take-off from the Moon possible.

Meanwhile, a postcard from one of the less frequented destinations on the Moon.

Lunar orbit established. I had to cheat with the fuel for TLI. I ran out of fuel on the Gorizont during orbit circulisation:

(I used the scenario editor to dock the XR2 with the XR5. Then I undocked, and used the RCS to get into this formation.)
