A lot of the addons that I have tried for 2010 seem not to work. Any body have any ideas?

This. Just saying an addon doesn't work doesn't tell us anything specific, and we can't help you without knowing which addon(s), what the problem is, etc.

And some addons just won't work in 2010 and won't get updated. :shrug: Nothing will be done with those ones except keeping a copy of 2006 around.
