“Eridanus” is a fictive manned and reusable spaceplane designed to perform various tasks in Low Earth Orbit: space station building, resupply, manteinance, crew turnaround, solo flights with scientific payloads, etc.
Eridanus can support a crew of seven for over one month

News in 1.11 version

-Docking port bug fixed. Crew creation problem solved. Other minor bugs fixed
-User can now store a secondary payload in the cargo bay
-FOI realtime mission ER-001 scenarios and payloads added

-Small cargo bay animation bug fixed

Required addons:

Vinka’s Multistage2
Vinka’s Spacecraft3 (with Orbiter 2006-P1 patch, included in the package).
Orbiter 2010-P1 requires the “stage.dll” patch (included in the package).

Hi Famandy,I found several bugs bug1. I included pic. Hud readout shows up on textures in the backseat area of eridanus.2.Can't use panel switch to close nose cone keep getting message from the master alarm,probe positive contact,or something like that.3.when you check the show grapple points box some of the arrows appear really big instead of small,other than that this addon really rocks. thanks again for all your teams hard work.:tiphat:

Just getting ready for my first reentry. The problem is that I get a undervolt and temperature warning when I close the bay doors. Does it depend on altitude? Under 350 km it stopped.

In my opinion, the payload system is not that nice. Changing a file is not a problem, but there are better ways. What about a Velcro launcher? This way the payload could be defined in the scenario file, as Eridanus would be a own vessel from the beginning.
A view out of the aft window like Atlantis has would also be cool.

Everything else is perfect! :thumbup:

You can close your bay doors just when the perigee is under 100 km (reentry configuration).
Velcro is not in our plans.. the goal is to create a total indipendent vessel, with a dedicated DLL for the launcher.
The aft (do you mean back) windows can be visible. Just use CTRL-ARROWS in the virtual cockpit and you are able to move to all crew positions, including a back one on windows!

Instead of editing the the scenario file, you must edit the eridanus cfg file... for me, this makes no difference. :)
anyway... no Velcro. We stand on multistage for now, and then (i can't say exactly when) we move on a dll rocket...

Ah, just pressed the wrong keys, Beautiful!

So I just landed. It glides much better than the Space Shuttle. And the crossrange is HUGE! :speakcool:

The "little area with the Ummu" seems to be the Spacelab-like module, "Caravaggio" (?).

So far this is a very nice addon. Very useful. Only have done a little with it so far, so a more in depth impression will come a bit later after I get a chance to do a full launch and landing with the vehicle.

BTW, has anyone tried Glideslope for re-entry? This was my primary means of getting the Shuttle Fleet back to Earth, and I find the automatic AoA holding and the turn dampening to be very very useful.

Tried it and failed. The aerodynamics are just so different. Aerobrake can do the AOA holding, but not very good. I'll try to write some LUA script for that...

There is a long replay in playbacks/Eridanus final pass (KSC) and it shows all reentry procedures!
