Does the server really need Yet Another Iron Farm?
Im not sure about the server but i need one. I think this farm may have far more yield since im always in this area.

The best is to find a zombie spawner in a dungeon and set there your zombie villager converter. You can check mine under "Japanese settlement" village east from my lighthouse.

Fortunately, today, i found a spawner exposed only a few meters(walking distance) from my colony. Im personally surprised i didn't notice it when i colonized this area. Now i can dismantle the trap i had built in the farther east.

Could be server autosaving causing a boat lag at clients since the last update?

I noticed it when I was exploring south-west border by boat at the evening (game time). The sun was low at the time the "AutoSaving" message appeared, and then when "AutoSaving Complete" appeared it jumped back up a little. When I dismounted the boat close to an island it teleported me back some 30-40 blocks behind and I needed to swim to that island, because I saw no boat around me to mount it back (the boat was actually where I left it, i.e. 30-40 blocks from the island). There was no such teleporting when I was mounting, and dismounting the boat without "AutoSaving" in the meantime.

Boats have been broken for a while regardless of the autosave--the more you move around the father away your client thinks you are from where you actually are. Known bug the minecraft folks haven't fixed yet.

Also apparently they don't even care about the issue:

It's certainly not specific to our server--I saw it happen on a youtube video on another server.

I like the mule 'solution'.

No. The mountain spring is a sacred artifact.

It is probably the least modified thing inside the city walls.

I know it isn't specific. It happened earlier but when I didn't get out of the boat for a day or something. It's certainly more noticeable now, because it happened for me every traveled 300+ (or around) blocks. Autosaving adds to it something for sure, with the sun going back to its earlier location after the saving is complete.

Well, there were some chickens on one of the islands. Maybe I'll get back for one as a guide. :P

Can I have the area south of the creeper?

Not really sure what our options are. We do have a couple gigs of world to save...

@Hielor:
I'd like to invite some friends on the server for sightseeing. Could you unlock them, so they can use buttons, door and the rail network?
Their names are:
Rile2184
Cougar332

Thanks!

Are they O-F members? If not, no, sorry, as I've described in the past.

However, perhaps the rules are open to discussion. What about a "friends" permission level that allows activation of doors/redstone, but no placing or removing of blocks? Should this be the default for all new people on the server?

Or maybe, given the declining active server population, we should consider allowing friends full access again? What do people think?

I would advocate at least a 'pass' to check out the server for a short time with basic permissions. At least, I've only ever had friends just check out the cool builds. We actually play the game on my own server.

If there's interest, I would open up my server to O-F in general. The idea would be to use some modpack such as the latest Voltz.

I'm open to the 'friends' permission level idea at the very least.

That would be great. Seconded!

The friends access level, which I strongly suggest we call the friendzone, sounds like a neat idea.

and the next question is whether we should forever condemn them in that state.
No, you select a limited number of them and allow them to escape. You let them enjoy freedom, true happiness. Then you crush them suddenly and send them back into the friendzone, or worse, while we feed off their will to live.

The NetherRailLine to my home is now fully protected and my place is open to visitors, who are capable of solving some puzzles to advance inside. ;-)
