Hi,I recently spawned Kulches TX-5 in the scenario editor for the first time, and noticed that it appears on the ground with the landing gear up,and pushing the G key doesn't work either. What gives?
:hailprobe:

Many of orbiter vessels suffer from this limitation. I usually deploy/stow gear in space and then place vessel in correct position (on launcher or runway)

Did you switch to the vessel by pressing F3 before you pushed the G key?

It should work if you move it a few hundred meters into the air, IIRC it doesn't work in space. But the best way is editing the scenario.

Depends how you move it. There is probably a limitation in the DLL that says 'don't allow the gear to move if the status is LANDED EARTH' so if you move it via Payload manager it won't work.

Thanks guys I will try these suggestions, and yes I switched to the TX with the F3 key.

Thanks GaryW, so really the only feasable way is to just edit the scenario file, before starting orbiter?

No but it's the most reliable I'm afraid!

The other option would be to use something like payload manager, raise it up HIGH, release then as it falls the status will change from LANDED EARTH to ORBITING EARTH. It'll come falling down but you can lower the gear and ignore the *CRASH* sound
