Is there a way to have 2006 and 2010 both installed?
There are so many good addons that I haven't been able to try out because of compatibility problems.

Is this possible?

It's just as simple as extracting them both to different folders  I think I have two or three 2006 installs and quite a few 2010 installs at the moment

Wow! Didn't know it was that simple! Thanks a lot!

EDIT: Now where can I find 2006? (EDIT2: I got it. Thanks for the help!)

Indeed. Orbiter "installs" are really simply folders with the Orbiter files in them. You can put it anywhere*, and have as many as you like, of whatever versions you like, but you can't merge different versions together and expect that to work well. :P

I do, somewhere on this hard drive, have a folder within which sub-folders containing each Orbiter version since about 2002 reside. (It was for one of my videos, I just never got around to deleting it.) So long as they all have their own folder, they're happy. :)

Specifically the "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)" directories. Personally, I put all games (including Orbiter) under something like C:\Games, which avoids the problem.

Wheras my solution was to turn UAC off. I find it a much more amicable solution since I don't have to change the path in installations nor fight with Windows for administrative rights to my computer.

However, this is somewhat off-topic, and both approaches will work fine for Orbiter. I will be happy to debate the merits and drawbacks of UAC with you some other time, elsewhere.

I have 2006, two copys of 2006p1, 2010 and 2010p1 on my desktop.

Fantastic. I'm sure there was a thread somewhere asking about how many copies you have of, or possibly how much disk space is being used by, orbiter, on your computer.
