Watch Father Gennady with his shovel in action:

They say such type of shovel is ideal for working persons suffering from radicular pains. They have already patented the design and the shovels will soon go to production.

Ora et labora!

Impressive, because the technology he uses was available 2000 years ago. Seems he his the first to have the idea !

All warfare is based on deception (Sun-Tzu) ?

I think that tool could be useful on the Moon or Mars. Because you can't move easily on a spacesuit. Of course it would have to be made of some extra-light titanium alloy and cost 3 billions$ / unit... :P

Off an online shop, it now costs 2,200 rubles, or $72, or €55.8 per unit. Which is nearing a space hardware cost for a shovel, IMHO.

I think we finally understand what those monks' plans really are. Watch out for the chartreuse-powered Monk Rocket in the belltower.

"Abbey, Father Michail, we have had a problem. We have a main incense bus ignition failure."

Strangely, there are more things around that look like they are preparing a secret mars mission:

They even have reference maps for navigation.

Yeah, and all those telemetry antennas ! The building itself could be a wooden service tower.

A good shovel here costs around $10 :) BTW That is a really cool looking monk.
