I've just listened to the song for the first time (on youtube). I know there is no accounting for taste, but I'm afraid somehow. The world is not only missing really good actors theses day, but also really good musicians. I did not expect that much hubbub about such a kind of music/song. Another reason out of thousands to not listen to the radio these days, beside not watching TV anyway :lol:

The impossible? Everyone was betting on Germany (even Google), it was no surprise, really. Congratulations, nevertheless.

A much bigger surprise was Romania on third place, that I didn't see it coming.

The impossible? Everyone was betting on Germany (even Google), it was no surprise, really. Congratulations, nevertheless.

If you look that Germany did not win for 28 years, since Nichole, it is really unbelievable. It is not like Germany has a strong lobby in Europe, our culture and musical tastes are pretty much limited to Germany. It is not so much about the predictions, which are not perfect (Google for example correctly predicted the winner, but not the other places).

It is amazing, the first victory since 1982 and the second victory overall. And that in connection with Klitschko winning his fight and Germany wins 3:0 against Hungary.

This morning I lay in bed and I thought: Why didn't it work with Texas Lightning in 2006? Why did they think Roger Cicero or that **** from last year could ever work? But now that is forgotten. Just take the preselection out of NDR's hands and we are fine xD!

Yes... That is IMHO the key to get far in the ESC, not the country you are from, but how serious you take the contest. If you don't take it serious, you will end bad artists there and can't convince people that you really want to win. The winning countries of the last years did take things seriously, even when they did a funny title - the people who vote will not vote for you if you don't want to.

I saw it in the news online a few minutes ago. Although I don't like her music, but she seems to speak a kind of British English which sounds nice (I somehow like British English more than American English ).

actually, her dialect is nothing at all. It just sounds a bit like London, without being it.

Well, at least Lordi were dead serious about it, and I am almost sure, the Finnish people also didn't think of it as a joke. You sure don't do interviews in full masquerade while in bright Mediterranean sunlight, if you don't want to give it all.

The same with the Russian victory - it was a serious investment for a victory.
