Google has a special splash page for Hubble's anniversery today:

http://www.google.com/

Clicking on the logo sends you to a search page for Hubble news.

20 years is a long time for a LEO satellite, but of course HST has had help!

20 years ago today, Space Shuttle Discovery launched to deploy the Hubble Space Telescope on mission STS-31.
Fast forward 20 years, and Discovery has just landed from mission STS-131! :speakcool:

It's also interesting to note that the current NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden was a crewmember on STS-31!

A space based telescope, huh. Who would of dared thought it be so successful, especially after the beginnings. Bravo, Hubble
