Yes I made it using Photoshop CS2. It's combining many of the skills of sig making I've learned over the years, and I now use the "glow" on the outside as a border, inspired by Vista.

It's 11 layers.

I like historical add-ons, and working with GregBurch on ProjectX-15 remains my favorite Orbiter experience, so this old logo for North American Aviation works for me.

But really, I'm just old. I hate change! I don't care if NAA was bought out decades ago and no longer exists! You kids can have your flashy (and flashing) multi-layered, animated icons. I'm old and I hate 'em! dag nab it

Besides, my icon harkens back to the only real U.S. spaceship (X-15), before NASA took over and started faking everthing in Hollywood. Did I mention I'm old? And seriously demented?
