IRC OrbiQuiz #6 - 2009.12.26 2200 UTC

The #orbiter channel will be holding a quiz on 26th December 2009 at 2200 UTC.

This event is purely for fun and will revolve around a simple question and answer game with space, orbiter and aviation related questions.

The Rules for #orbiter quiz are as follows:

• Each question has a MAXIMUM time of 3 minutes.
• My decisions are FINAL in all matters.
• Any flaming, trolling or other annoyances will result in removal. This is for fun.

NB: Normal IRC rules are still in operation.

Everyone is invited and you can access the chat room either via IRC to irc.orbithangar.com and join #orbiter or by using the chatroom applet located here: http://www.orbithangar.com/orbiterirc.php

If you have any questions about the quiz (not questions for the quiz) feel free to reply to this thread.

** For every 5 questions used in the quiz, two points will be allocated to the person who submitted them. A further 1 point will be allocated if the question stumps everyone in #orbiter. If, however, you supply a wrong answer to your submitted question you will be penalised 1 point**

As Christmas is just around the corner, the December OrbiQuiz will have a prize. A special OrbiQuiz Mug/T-shirt! (Heck I'll even throw in a virtual kiss)

watching space is fun...... actually i'm working on the graphics for the mug.

Most info i've got for it is that it will be a 15oz white mug....whats printed on it well....i'm working on 2 ideas atm so we'll vote on which is best later on when i get them done.

Just provide an address of where you want it shipped and either Krys or I will take care of the rest. Obviously, as we are in the UK if the winner is not UK based they'll have to wait a few weeks for it to arrive!

Any personal details will not be stored in any form after the order has been received by the winner.

The mug - aka coffee cup, tea cup, hot drink holder (et al) will have a picture of earth, "Santa" and something orbiter related.

Krys, take a soviet space flight child's book and get some questions from out there, for example?

*points at self* actually knows pretty much nothing about space/aviation etc....

So any questions I got from such sources would be either worded in a weird way...or too easy! Also its enough work getting everything set up. This way people can feel more involved in their quiz.
