:cheers:Superb!:speakcool:

But... 32 passengers? I cant see where they fit...

12 in the fore cabin (though that is with generous legroom in the current configuration) and you can install modular cabins in the payload bay (not depicted)

Here is a question, you say that there are:

2x Vega 5 Rocket motors (main engines I assume?)
3x Vega 3 Rocket motors (hover engines?)
2x Altea 003 scramjets

What about the retro rockets!!? :)

Brilliant work, Coolhand (getting tired of hearing that yet..too bad!:P) As a suggestion, thinking about plan views of modern aircraft, the head-on view sometimes shows one side of the main gear deployed either as it appears, or as a line drawing. This can also be shown in the side view. I see that you have the gear out in the exploded view, so probably a line drawing is all that's needed. IMHO

Thats not a bad idea, though the landing gear ended up being slightly butchered after i changed the wheel position a couple of weeks ago so they will be rebuilt and re-textured properly before it's released. they work and all but they don't look so good so i kept them concealed as much as possible in the image.

OK gents, after a lot of work from Coolhand and some sorcery on my end on my Obj2Msh converter, we finally have the model importing cleanly from 3DSMax into Orbiter! Here are some screenshots I took tonight:

The next task is to code the animations. It will still be awhile before Beta-1, so please don't burn down the headquarters demanding the ship just yet... :)

Are you planning to tweak the model a bit more, There just seams something isn't quite right

Well, part of it could be that the landing gear is up in those shots, so both ships are sitting on the ground on their hulls... No animation or touchdown points yet, so the gear is still locked in the up position for the time being.

Also, be sure you click on the yellow This image has been resized bar so you can view the screenshots at their full 1286x1030 resolution.

Looks incredible. Just don't scratch the paint on that runway! :)

I see it too, but I believe this comes from the hardmount to the runway and a mix of optical illusions by the slight angle of... well... nearly everything.
That also explains why the top down view looks as expected.

Consider the torches lit! (or do you really think it is a coincidence that computerex is working on BombMFD right now?)

edit: I just red your post in the 1,000 Members thread. Can we burn down M6 in the meantime?

IMAO, it looks like a fat, grey pidgeon to me, rather than a raven.

*cowering*

Ok! Ok! So it's a trick of the light! It's a trick of the light!

On a more serious opinion: Even with payloads, the only way I can see 32 people fitting in there is in cryo coffins or something.

Which makes me think: Will we be able to make custom skins and payloads for this? 'cause I bags making a hearse version!

This has been discussed in this thread and this wouldn't be the orbiter community if the answer wasn't: OF COURSE YOU CAN!

I could lighten that up for you in AC3D.

WOW, it looks fantastic.

32 passengers seems kind of far-fetched to me as well, though.

But who cares? It's not like we have to provide in-flight meals. It looks great and I'm sure it will feel great to fly. Can't wait!

Frankly, whatever Mr Denholm wants to get up to with corpses in low earth orbit is between him and his insurance company. Altea takes no responsibility, there's a clause in the contract to that effect... well, now there is.

I think she's looking great Doug, obviously it'll be sat a fair bit higher off the runway in the finished version and the textures gamma needs tweaking, also material settings need work to stop it looking so flat, but all the major hurdles to getting the model into Orbiter have been cleared. I'm very pleased.:)
